Profile

Dr. Kyung-Min Lee supports the Office of the Texas State Chemist’s strategic plan to implement a science-based approach to risk management. He analyzes and interprets laboratory data using statistical techniques and reports these results to industry and academia through peer reviewed journal articles and other mechanisms. Dr. Lee possesses product development expertise and has worked on hard white wheat quality, maize physical and milling quality, extrusion processing, and classification of grains, feed, and fertilizer using statistical techniques. Dr. Lee obtained his BS in Food Science at Kyonggi University in South Korea, MS in Food Science and Biotechnology at Lund University, Sweden and his Ph.D. in Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University. Dr. Lee is a member of the American Association of Cereal Chemists (AACC), North Central Region Project NC-213, and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO).
