Profile

Sara Williams serves as an Associate Director, responsible for laboratory quality assurance and lab operation required to meet the regulatory and timely reporting needs of the Texas Feed and Fertilizer Control Service (FFCS) and the resource needs of the Agricultural Analytical Service (AAS). Sara conducts AAS management reviews to maintain and expand ISO 17025 accreditation.

Prior to her current position, Sara’s functions in the AAS lab included lab manager, lab supervisor, and analytical chemist. Before joining OTSC, Sara worked as an environmental chemist in the aluminum reduction industry and as a coatings development chemist. Sara obtained her BS in Chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University. She has been a long time member of AOAC International (a scientific association committed to worldwide confidence in analytical results) and has served as a Safety Advisor for a number of food, feed, and fertilizer method committees within AOAC.
