Profile
Dr. Tim Herrman serves as the state chemist and director of the Office of the Texas State Chemist. The Office provides regulatory oversight for the Texas feed and fertilizer industry with annual product sales exceeding 19 million tons and a market value of 6 billion dollars. Dr. Herrman is a professor in the Department of Soil and Crops Sciences and leads a research and education program in feed and grain science. Prior to Texas A&M, Dr. Herrman was a professor at Kansas State University where he served as extension state leader and chair of the graduate faculty in the Dept. of Grain Science. Tim earned his BS in agronomy from Washington State University and his MS and PhD in plant pathology and plant science, respectively, from the University of Idaho.
